Student Services
Academic advising and transfer services are available at
the UCSB Ventura Center during daytime and evening hours. Other services
include access to the UCSB libraries, a computer lab, and daily courier
service to campus. The UCSB online registration system makes it easy for
students to register, add and drop classes, order unofficial transcripts,
and obtain final grades.
Telephone
Campus telephone extensions are provided at the Ventura Center for toll
free communications with faculty and administrative departments on the
main campus.

Computer
Lab
Every Off Campus Studies student at the Ventura Center is encouraged
to use both the 24 station Pentium computer lab and the 3 station lab
annex. Students are given electronic mail accounts on the UCSB server,
and have full Internet access. Word processing and spreadsheet programs
are loaded on the lab and annex computers with printing to one of two
laser printers. Students are asked to bring their own paper for printing
and 3.5 inch floppy disks for storage of their work. Additional programs
necessary to complete course assignments are routinely loaded on the
computers as the need arises.
